GARMENT MAKING TRAINING

For three decades, the SWADHAR Rehabilitation Center for Rural Persons with Disabilities has created employment opportunities in rural areas. Our handloom weaving center, employing visually challenged individuals, has provided stable incomes. To expand this impact, we established a garment-making unit attached to the weaving center, targeting rural women with orthopedic challenges.

The Garment Making Training Program trains these women in garment-making skills, helping them increase their income. The unit also produces garments, generating additional revenue to offset the COVID-19 pandemic's impact. Modern machines enable the production of high-quality products, meeting market demands and supporting our employment efforts.

This program aims to empower differently-abled women, separated women, and widows, providing them with essential skills and financial stability. Through this initiative, we strive to create a more inclusive and self-sufficient community.

ALIBAG REGIONAL CENTRE

Grameen Shramik Pratishthan (GSP) India is undertaking a unique project with dual objectives. Firstly, it seeks to create employment opportunities for visually impaired youth, and secondly, it aims to enhance wellness services, specifically focusing on acupressure and massage therapy for individuals affected by lifestyle diseases.

The Wellness Center set up at the Alibag is being implemented in the Konkan region, with the primary goal of offering a sustainable employment solution to visually impaired youth in that area. The wellness center and training program is meticulously crafted to enable visually impaired individuals to gradually master the techniques of acupressure and massage therapy, ultimately becoming proficient masseurs. The duration of the training program spans six months.
